Mongolia 2004: In Transition
A land with extreme vastness and untouched nature. This is the home of the Nomads in the Altai mountain range, who wander with their families, horses and yaks. For centuries they have traversed the region with their tents, the so called "Girs". On the other hand, there is also the growing boomtown Ulan Bator - the capital. People move to the city. Young people enjoy new freedom through contact with western world. It is an atmosphere of abandon.
