| Mongolia 2004: Removal | ||
| In Mongolia it takes only a couple of hours for a nomad to move, included the time to pack and unpack. The jurt is taken down and rebuilt in a new location on the steppe. The yaks, horses, goats and sheep are driven to the new site. This happens several times a year. We follow the family of Nergui with his wife Naranzetzeg and their son Suchbold. This year they have already moved five times in the Altai. More than 60 percent of the Mongolian people live in jurts. These people move through the grasslands with their animals, and their food consists of what nature provides. | ||
