HIV/AIDS has many impacts for children who lost their parents because of this epidemic. The physical and emotional burden on this children is very high. Suddenly they are left alone with no grown-ups to take care of them, many children have smaller siblings who need their attention. And it is not easy to cope with the AIDS-related stigmata, with abuse, discrimination and poverty. There are no statistics to show the number of cild-headed households in Uganda. "The Brave Children of Kampala" shows the everyday struggles of a child-headed family and the neighboring children.
